A Funny Christmas Tree
It was big and tall, sitting at the edge of town. It had always been there, for as long as anyone could remember. No one thought it was particularly pretty, but it was useful, and so we tolerated its presence.
“Help me up!”
I walked over to Derek and placed my hands in front of me, fingers intertwined, so he could climb up the tower. It was his idea, after all. No way I was going to risk my neck for this!
Somehow, he managed to do it. He twirled some red garland over and around the water tank to make it look a bit more festive. Honestly, I think he just made things worse…
